Christine and Toli went on a 6-week trip to Europe from 12/16/03 to 1/29/04. We actually started our trek on 12/14, when we took off by (rental) car from our home in Austin, TX and drove to Dallas, TX, where we spent the night with Christine's cousin, Angie Epley. The next morning, 12/15, we took off from Dallas on American Airlines, and landed in Frankfurt on 12/16, where we immediately took the train for Munich. That is where our photographic journey starts:
  1. Germany:
    1. Munich
    2. The Romantic Road
    3. Nuremberg
    4. Dortmund
    5. Dusseldorf
    6. Return to Dortmund
  2. The Netherlands:
    1. Amsterdam
    2. The dams
  3. Belgium:
    1. Brugge
    2. Gent
    3. Ypres
  4. Luxembourg City, Luxembourg
  5. France:
    1. Strasbourg
    2. The Alsace Wine Road
  6. Pflach, Austria
  7. Schwangau, Germany
  8. Vienna, Austria
  9. Bratislava, Slovakia
  10. Budapest, Hungary
  11. Prague, Czech Republic
  12. Return to Vienna, Austria
  13. Berlin, Germany
From Berlin, we took the night train to Frankfurt (actually, two trains, the first being a fast, quiet ICE and the other a local train where we met a bunch of happy, drunk Karneval-goers at Cologne). We arrived at the Frankfurt airport very early on 1/29, where we took the plane back to Dallas. As before, we rented a car and drove straight to Austin.
