On 12/25, Peter and Henni Scholz drove us to Düsseldorf (Dusseldorf), where we visited Christine's old stomping grounds: during her senior year in college, Christine was a winter intern for the state government, specifically the Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Mittelstand, Technologie und Verkehr (Ministry for Economics, Small Businesses, Technology and Traffic). Since then, it has undergone many reforms and is currently called the Ministry for Economics and Labor.

Haroldstrasse
The TV tower, which also tells time: the lower nine lights count seconds; when ten seconds have accumulated, all these lights go off, and another one over them comes on (in the group that counts tens). In the next vertical group (separated by a horizontal row of red lights), the lights count units and tens of minutes, and finally the top group counts hours. The time now is 5p (10+7 hours); 7 minutes; 19 seconds (10+9).
