Now we move on to the second part of the presentation. So far we've dealt only with geometry, now we want to add color to the surfaces so we can create realistic images. We do that by using view-dependent texturing.

Notice how the surface in the color image looks much more detailed than in the image on the left. In a sense, we use color data to give an illusion of a very detailed model while actually using a relatively coarse model.
