light intensity point x y zFigure 3-7
Define a light source of the specified intensity at (x,y,z). The light radiates in all directions from (x,y,z). This light is the simplest of the types of light; use it when modelling point light sources such as incandescent lights. It is also wise to use point lights to replace more complex light types while a scene is being produced.
