The /usr/common Hierarchy

A wide variety of tools from the net are available in /usr/common. Executables live in /usr/common/bin, and documentation is found in both /usr/common/man, as well as in /usr/common/info and /usr/common/lib. Packages of note include: GNU Emacs v19, GNU GCC, the PPM image processing toolkit, elm, BMRT, Tcl/TK, kermit, libforms, libtiff, lynx, mosaic, Netscape, perl version 5, python, radiance, rayshade, rn, gnuplot, TeX, xemacs, xfig, xv, and zsh.
