Assignment 4: Architecture

This photo was taken inside the Machanics' Institute Library in San Francisco. The spiral staircase shows the repeating pattern. The whole scene was quite dark except for the center spot which has light shine through a sun roof. I use aperture f/8.0 to get most to the staircase in focus. I had to use high ISO so that the shutter speed is not too low.

In lightroom, I recovered the detail in the shadow by turning down the highlight and turning up the shadow.
