Rohan Kamath: The world of Morpheus

EXIF: f/5.6, ISO-125, EC 0 at 10mm. Exposure time for 1/8 seconds. Equipment used: Canon EOS 40D, Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM Lens, Tripod. Clicked on manual mode(M) with Partial metering in RAW and Manual WB. Post processing in CS4. Used the Photomerge function to stitch together the panorama. Cropped for composition. Used the glowing edges filter for the effect. Also used the healing brush to fix artifacts of the join. Essence of the image: In this image, I wanted create a dreamy lobby that screams out SciFi. I tried out many different effects in PS before I finally decided to go with this one. The paintings on the walls, the windows and the mounted TV all included in part or whole add character to the image. I first tried a larger pan and also one version that included the ceiling but eventually went with this one as it just somehow seemed more visually appealing.
